Ex transmitters for DIN rail or Power Rail installation

PR 9113B -lähetin

Ex transmitters for rail installation in control cabinet or connection box are presented in the selection table below. The applicable rail types are indicated for each product type, the rail options are:

  • DIN = transmitter can be installed on traditional 35 mm DIN rail, in these cases supply voltage is wired to transmitters screw terminals
  • Power Rail = these transmitters have extra contacts for connecting to supply voltage transporting 9400 Power Rail. Power Rail performs as installation and as supply rail.

The manufacturer of these transmitters is PR electronics. Detailed product data and safety notes for each type are available by clicking the type number.

2-wire transmitters with HART® connection

PR 6335

is an 1 or 2 channel transmitter for DIN rail installation, input can be: RTD, TC, linear resistance or mV. HART® communication with HART®5 protocol.

  • 6335A - standard version for safe area or Ex zones 2 or 22
  • 6335D - ATEX, FM and IECEx certified for Ex zones 0, 1, 2, 20, 21, 22 or M1.

PR 6337

is an 1 or 2 channel transmitter for DIN rail installation, input can be: RTD, TC, linear resistance or mV. HART® communication by user selectable HART®5 or HART®7 protocols. When using PReset software, version 6.04 or later should be used.

  • 6337A - standard version for safe area or Ex zones 2 or 22
  • 6337D - ATEX, FM, IECEx and EAC-Ex certified for Ex zones 0, 1, 2, 20, 21, 22 or M1.

PR 6437

is an 1 channel / 2 input / 2 channel transmitter for DIN rail installation, input can be: RTD, TC, linear resistance, potentiometer or mV. HART® communication by HART®7 protocol. When using PReset software, version 9.01.1001 or later should be used.

PRetrans 6350

1 or 2 channel, FISCO-certified digital transmitter for DIN rail installation. Input can be RTD or TC sensor or a mA signal, which makes this device also a mA/bus converter!

You can use the same transmitter also in FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 process bus. Transmitter detects automatically which bus it is connected to (patented AutoSwitch function), and adapts its features according to that bus. 

FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus H1 process bus connection

PRetrans 6350

is an 1 or 2 channel, FISCO-certified digital transmitter for DIN rail installation. Input can be RTD or TC sensor or a mA signal, which makes this device also a mA/bus converter! 

  • 6350A - standard version for safe area or Ex zone 2
  • 6350B - ATEX, FM, CSA, IECEx and EAC-Ex certified for Ex zones 0, 1, 2, 20, 21 or 22.

LAS function block: transmitter can be programmed to take over the bus segment communication control if connection to master is lost.

PID function block: process control can be decentralized down to transmitter level.

Modbus® RTU and Modbus® TCP/IP

PR9000 series 

modules in Ex zone 2 can be connected to Modbus RTU field bus with 4511-Modbus-communication-enabler. 4511 unit is attached on a 9000 series module and Modbus RTU bus communication (RS485) is connected to 4511 unit with a RJ45 connector. RJ45 connectors and wire harness units are available as accessories.

Modbus RTU can be further connected to Modbus TCP/IP or wireless Ethernet or Profinet networks with applicable gateway devices.

4512 Bluetooth® communication enabler for 4000 and 9000 series

Enable Bluetooth communication and data logging on all your PR 4000 and PR 9000 units. Just mount the PR 4512 on the front of the device from PR electronics and install the PPS app on your smart device (iOS  and Android). This enables live monitoring of your process data, data- and event logging and easy programming of your device.

Note! In Ex applications 4512 mounting in Zone 2 / Div. 2.
